We came here solely on the great reviews. When we came in, the atmosphere was good. We read the menu and was a little concerned, but we have trusted reviews and had great results in the past.

Visited for the first time with my family, ordered the Shadyside burger, so freaking good! also ordered 2 apps both awesome as well. Beer was great

Visited with friends.  Very nice building/structure.  Old catholic church  remodel. Ordered the sangria which had little taste. Had the cheesesteak with peppers and french fries.  The sandwich was average  with the meat a bit dry and the fries a bit soggy, not crisp. Service was on point. Second time here while visiting. Both experiences about the same. My wife had the mac and cheese which she said was good, especially the gouda cheese. That might be the way to go next time.

While I enjoyed the visit, I think it&apos;s trying too hard to be a lot of things. The server was wonderful, & offered samples of the beers (made there) that I was wondering about. Ambiance was - well, it&apos;s a former church, so very different, but I loved that we could have a real conversation & not be blasted with music. My issue is with the food. There was only one vegetarian offering, which I got, & it was only ok. (I added shrimp & that helped.) The menu is very heavily beef & pork based with the entrees, & most of the appetizers are fried things. We couldn&apos;t try any of the desserts because of dairy & gluten issues. Was hoping for better. It is very popular, a number of larger groups there as well as families. Had a nice time, just hard to "eat".

Excellent Time With The Beer Gods!

On a visit to Pittsburgh,  my husband and I decided to check this brewery out.  It is beautiful! They have kept the original stained glass and artwork. They have also kept the pews and turned them into booths.  My husband enjoyed the beer,  and I enjoyed the desserts!

Great Place For Beer Lovers

Very interesting atmosphere at this deconsecrated church. Most of the religious iconography is still there. The stained glass windows and rose window are beautiful. Service was good but it as not busy when we were there. Food and beer were good but not fantastic and a bit pricy.
